Accessibility is about being inclusive.

Accessibility takes place as you design and build your course materials whereas accommodation occurs after material has been created and typically occurs during the delivery of the material at a request from a student.

Accessibility is important to ensure your message is received. Are your materials ready for those who use a screen reader, those with colour processing issues, or those who read captions or transcripts instead of listening to audio? Your students have a wide range of needs whether you are aware of them or not.

This site was designed to bring you One Step Closer to creating accessible content for your students.
